Moisturizing Good for your Skin Waterproof Make Up Remover:
Ingredients
Coconut oil- 1 Tblsp (found mine @ Wal-Mart for $5.98 for a 14 oz jar)
Baby Shampoo- a squirt
Water- 2 cups
A squirt bottle or jar or some other container (for storing)
(I used an empty shampoo container that I rinsed out very well)
Directions
Dump 1 tblsp of the coconut oil in the 2 cups water
nuke it for 30 seconds to melt the coconut oil.
Stir till coconut oil has liquified
squirt a squirt of baby shampoo into the mixture
Stir again and VOILA!
Pour your makeup remover into your squirt bottle and you are ready to remove your make up!
Homemade Earth friendly dishwasher detergent
This is so easy to make and cheap.
You just need washing soda and borax.
Mix equal parts of both.
Premix a bunch and store in an airtight container.
Put 1 Tablespoon in the dispenser when ready to run a load of dishes.
Also put distilled vinegar in your rinse agent dispenser.
If you have hard water, you may need to adjust the proportions to prevent soap film. (increase the amount of soda)

Moisturizing face/body scrub
1 cup almond, sesame, olive or vegetable oil
1 cup kosher, table or Epsom salt
Heat oil in microwave for 45 seconds. Consistency should be like a paste; add or lessen salt accordingly.
Exfoliating body scrub
1 lemon
Course sea salt
Cut lemon in half, sprinkle salt over each half. Grind salt-covered lemons into elbows, heels and knees.
Homemade Earth friendly laundry soap
4 cups of water
1/3 bar of cheap soap, grated
1/2 cup washing soda (not baking soda)
1/2 cup of Borax (20 Mule Team)
5-gallon bucket for mixing
3 gallons of water
Mix the grated soap in a saucepan with 4 cups of water, and heat on low until the soap is completely dissolved.
Add hot water/soap mixture to 3 gallons of water in the 5-gallon bucket, stir in the washing soda and Borax, and continue stirring until thickened. Let the mix sit for 24 hours, and voila! Homemade laundry detergent.
Sounds like a fun project for the kids to make too (supervised of course)
